Round Lifecycle

Every ORE Pump round follows a predictable lifecycle. Understanding this helps you time your bets and know what to expect.

The Three Phases

1. BETTING Phase

What's Happening:

  • 25 new memecoins are launched
  • Players can place bets on any coin
  • Market caps update in real-time as bets come in
  • Charts show live price movement

What You Can Do:

  • Place bets on coins (requires wallet approval for each bet)
  • Watch market activity
  • Analyze charts and EV indicators
  • Chat in the trollbox

Visual Indicator: Status bar shows "BETTING" with countdown timer

2. SPINNING Phase

What's Happening:

  • Betting is closed
  • The blockchain is selecting a winner
  • On-chain randomness determines the outcome

What You Can Do:

  • No more bets allowed
  • Prepare for the reveal!

Visual Indicator: Status bar shows "SPINNING" with animation

3. RESULT Phase (~15 seconds)

  • Winning coin shows "MOON" celebration with price count-up
  • Losing coins show "rugged" animation
  • Payouts are calculated

  • Check your rewards
  • Prepare for the next round

Visual Indicator: Status bar shows winner with celebration effects

Timing

Round timing is determined by Solana's slot system, not fixed seconds. This means:

  • Total round duration: Typically 75-80 seconds
  • Timing varies slightly based on network conditions
  • Countdown timer shows remaining time in real-time
PhaseApproximate DurationCan Bet?
BETTING~55-60 seconds✅ Yes
SPINNING~5-10 seconds❌ No
RESULT~15 seconds❌ No
Slot-Based Timing

The exact timing depends on Solana slots (~400ms each). Watch the countdown timer for accurate remaining time.

What Happens Between Rounds?

The transition is seamless:

  1. Result phase ends
  2. New coins are generated
  3. Betting phase starts immediately
  4. Repeat!

There's no downtime - rounds run continuously 24/7.

Tips for Timing

Don't Wait Until the Last Second

  • Network latency can cause your bet to miss the cutoff
  • Wallet approval takes a moment
  • Place bets with at least 10 seconds remaining

Watch the Status Bar

  • Shows current phase and countdown
  • When countdown is low, hurry up!
  • When not in BETTING phase, wait for next round

The Slot System

Behind the scenes, ORE Pump uses Solana's slot system for timing:

  • Each slot is about 400 milliseconds
  • Round progress is calculated from slots, not wall-clock time
  • This ensures fairness across different network conditions

You don't need to understand slots to play - just watch the countdown timer!
