Your First Bet

Let's walk through placing your first bet on ORE Pump, step by step.

Before You Start​

Make sure you have:

  • ✅ A connected wallet (Phantom or Solflare)
  • ✅ Some SOL in your wallet (any amount works - even 0.0001 SOL)
  • ✅ Understood the UI basics

Only bet what you can afford to lose.

Step 1: Wait for Betting Phase​

Look at the status bar at the top:

  • "BETTING" with countdown = You can place bets
  • Watch the countdown timer for remaining time

If you see "SPINNING" or "RESULT", wait for the next round to start. You can still adjust your bet amount and mode while waiting.

Step 2: Choose Your Bet Amount​

Use the preset buttons for quick selection:

  • .0001, .001, .01, .1, 1, 2.5 SOL (customizable in Settings)

Click the gear icon to customize preset amounts to your preference.

Bet Early for Lower Fees

Platform fees are lowest (0.25%) when you bet early. Fees increase to 3% in the final seconds. See Fee Structure for details.

Step 3: Choose Your Betting Mode​

Snipe Mode (⚡ Yellow toggle)

  • One tap = instant bet
  • Fastest way to bet
  • Best when you know exactly which coin you want

Select Mode (🖱️ Green toggle)

  • Tap tiles to select multiple coins
  • Review your selection
  • Click BUY to confirm all at once
  • Best for multi-tile strategies

Step 4: Pick Your Coin(s)​

In Snipe Mode:​

  1. Tap any coin card
  2. Your wallet pops up immediately
  3. Approve the transaction
  4. Done!

In Select Mode:​

  1. Tap coins to select them (highlighted border)
  2. Use "Select All" to pick all 25 tiles, or "Reset" to clear
  3. Click the BUY button when ready
  4. Approve the transaction in your wallet
Your Selection is Protected

While waiting for wallet approval, your tile selection is locked. If you cancel, your selection remains so you can try again. If successful, it clears automatically.

How to Choose?​

For your first bet, don't overthink it! Some strategies:

  • Random pick: It's all luck anyway
  • Follow the crowd: Bet on coins with high market cap
  • Contrarian: Bet on underdog coins with low market cap
  • Spread it out: Select multiple tiles to increase win chances

Step 5: Approve the Transaction​

When your wallet pops up:

  1. Review the amount - Make sure it matches your intended bet
  2. Check the fee - Shown in the confirmation toast after approval
  3. Click Approve/Confirm
  4. Wait 1-2 seconds for blockchain confirmation

The confirmation toast will show:

  • "Bet Placed! 🎯" with your bet details
  • The fee charged (percentage or "$0.01" for small bets)

Step 6: Watch the Action​

After betting closes:

Spinning Phase​

  • Reveal animation plays
  • The winner is being determined on-chain
  • Your controls are temporarily disabled

Result Phase (~15 seconds)​

  • Winner announced with celebration animation
  • Winning coin shows price count-up and multiplier
  • If you bet on the winner: 🎉 You win a share of the pot!
  • If not: Better luck next round!

Understanding Your Results​

If You Won​

  • Your winnings are added to your claimable SOL balance
  • Check the wallet drawer to see your earnings
  • You can claim SOL anytime (no platform fee, just network fee)

If You Lost​

  • Your bet is gone (this is how the game works)
  • But you still earned unrefined ORE while playing!
  • Your unrefined ORE earns refined ORE over time
  • Try again next round

Tips for New Players​

  1. Start small: Learn the rhythm before betting bigger
  2. Bet early: Lock in the 0.25% fee rate
  3. Watch a few rounds: See how the game flows before betting
  4. Check your balance: Know how much you're willing to spend
  5. Prepare during breaks: Set your amount and mode during SPINNING/RESULT phases
  6. Have fun: It's a game, enjoy the experience!
